Receiving Your Frozen or Refrigerated Product
It is normal for frozen products, especially those shipped 2-Day Air, to thaw slightly during the shipping process. When you receive your package, either place them immediately into your freezer, or continue to let them thaw under refrigeration and consume within 72 hours. Frozen salmon products that have been partially thawed can be safely re-frozen with minimal loss in quality.
Smoked salmon and lox freeze well and will last for several months in the freezer. If you choose to refrigerate your smoked salmon or lox, they will last for two months unopened and 7-10 days after opening. Fillets, whole fish, ikura and salmon spread should be stored frozen and thawed under refrigeration before consuming. Once thawed, fillets and whole fish should be consumed within 72 hours, ikura and salmon spread within 10 days.
If you order refrigerated or frozen product, please make sure that someone will be home to receive the package and transfer it to your refrigerator or freezer. Before ordering large quantities of frozen or refrigerated product, please ensure that you have the capacity to properly store your order once it arrives:
